about

Townsel Turner's debut full length, "My Dearest Friend", is a warm collection of personal stories and cryptic, yet oddly relatable, ramblings by Prestonsburg, Kentucky's Dylan Combs.

After a relocation to central Kentucky which slowed the output of his main musical project, Lost Swimmer, Combs continued his borderline obsessive songwriting habit and started releasing quieter, more personal music under the moniker Townsel Turner (as a tribute to his grandparents) in 2016.

After enlisting the help of Perry Wesley and Lost Swimmer bandmate, Jordan McCown, the three crafted an album recorded in various basements and spaces throughout Kentucky to create a lofi patchwork blanket of songs sewn together by Combs.
